a women's yoga & lifestyle retreat

11th - 15th November
Sri Lanka
where we question what we are doing;
where we feel that we are surrounded by things - but nothing really brings us joy;
where we have money - but no time and not much fulfilment.
We can hit a point in our lives where we feel something is off:
It can all feel too much and - yet - not enough.

This retreat is here for you to
step away from everything for a moment and reconnect with the basics:
· your body
· your breath
· your feelings
· a simple daily routine
· real food & time to eat without rush
· simple & nurturing self-care practices
· nature, her rhythm & her remedies
a yoga & lifestyle retreat
This is not a just a yoga retreat.
It’s a blend of yoga and other ways to build a more connected lifestyle - because this is what a lot of us need.
What we offer is the golden essence of our combined knowledge and experience of the past decade of life and yoga.
We share our favourite and most valuable practices, tools, and remedies.
We share what works and what is practical enough to apply and integrate into your daily life:
* Cooling and calming Traditional Hatha Yoga practices as medicine for the modern mind.
* Yoga Nidra for deep rest & rejuvenation.
* Simple but powerful breathing practices.
* Journaling and reflection as techniques to gain clarity
* Natural and rather simple approaches to food, body care, and natural medicine.
* A way of recalibrating your life to see and experience that less is more and simpler is often better.
We have both lived away from the typical 9-to-5 and mainstream trends for several years.
We both swear by natural remedies and a structured, traditional yoga practice.
We know the potency of the right breathing techniques and the power of meditation.
We value time in nature for its grounding effect.
We know that taking time for yourself is key to living a true and connected life
and not a luxury you can allow yourself once a month.
If you want to…
· re-connect with yourself on a daily basis & re-calibrate your life over time,
· build a healthier & happier life, and
· live a life that feels more aligned and authentic,
this retreat is for you!

Maybe you‘re functioning perfectly -
but you don‘t really find much joy in what you‘re doing.
Maybe you have climbed the career ladder and have a well-paying job; and that was just what you wanted
a few years ago - but now it feels kind of unfulfilling.
Maybe you technically “have it all” - but your body and mind feel burnt out.
Maybe you are super productive, badge yourself with long to-do lists and being there for everyone
- but you are neglecting yourself.
Maybe your life looks perfect on the outside - but on the inside you feel stuck and empty.
Maybe you're always the strong one - but you struggle with overwhelm and health issues.
Maybe somehow it all feels too much and, yet, not enough.
If this resonates, this retreat is for you!
We see you, because we've been there.
So step away from everything for a moment and come with us on a journey to re-connect and re-calibrate your life.

meet your teachers
We are both living examples of what we teach - in yoga & life.
The practices and tools shared in this retreat helped us get to where we are and who we are today.
We don’t see yoga as an isolated “thing” that we do, but as an integral part of our lives. This idea that yoga is woven into life and not separate from it is also at the core of Traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga, the yoga that is meant for people like us.
We both teach Traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga, which looks at practice from an energetic perspective.
It’s an ancient science, and a system built to help you live your best life.
We met in 2022 during our 300h with The Practice Bali, studying under our teacher Octavio Salvado.
The deep connection we have today is based on the firm ground of the teachings,
as well as on our common ground of how we see and live life.
Katha has been living in Sri Lanka for several years, and Kat loves to escape European winters and spend them in the tropics,
so the home for our retreat was naturally found.

Kat
Kat's Yoga journey began in 2012 in India, thinking she might do as well something yoga while she was there… She stepped right into traditional yoga, and deepened her knowledge and experience systematically with her 50h, 200h and 300h trainings under Octavio Salvado.
She is a big fan of Traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga as it helps us embrace both: live our best lives in this world, and at the same time find spiritual fulfilment.
2012 was also the year she embarked head first onto a radical dietary change, something that would profoundly change not only her health but her life.
It started a ripple effect from cooking from scratch and eating more clean to turning to natural remedies and basically questioning everything we have been told about health and how we should live.
Kat is enthusiastic about helping women find real answers to their daily struggles, health problems, and pains that are regarded as normal in our society; about natural solutions to health and the power of food; about yoga that is practical and helps you change your life for the better.

Katha
Katha's Yoga journey began in 2014 when she battled depression - and she often claims that Yoga saved her life.
In 2019 she left everything behind to travel around South East Asia. But her first destination, Sri Lanka, invited her to dive into the depths of her being - and deeper into the practice of Yoga.
She attended her first YTT with her teacher Jesse Barlow later that year, and started teaching in several places in the South of Sri Lanka.
Feeling the strong urge to dive deeper into yoga philosophy and deepen her knowledge and practice, she stepped back from teaching for several years, studying further and attending more trainings with The Practice, Bali, mainly with Octavio Salvado.
Katha is enthusiastic about the energetic and psychological effects of the practice and loves guiding her students to a place of deeper understanding of themselves and their mind.
Sri Lanka is still her home, she now lives here with her family, runs a thriving café, teaches yoga and enjoys a life that has a slower pace and a closer connection to nature, the ocean and to spirit.

the goal of this retreat
is for you to step back into "normal" life with solid tools at hand that can help you re-connect daily with yourself and what really matters and
re-calibrate your life over time .
To be able to build a healthier and happier life.
A life that feels more aligned and authentic.
Through our personal guidance we'll help you leave this retreat with a sense of new self-empowerment and exactly the right tools and practices at hand.
Like any other retreat though, this isn't a quick-fix.
But it is a starting point for you to come back to what truly matters to you and a stepping stone on your way to create a better life for yourself.
What we teach isn't just book knowledge but lived experience.
We both come from a corporate background which we left several years ago to live a simpler, slower, happier, healthier and more aligned life.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us.
We'd be happy to connect with you!
